This afternoon PRA officially opened its new spaces with a ribbon cutting ceremony in the new courtyard. Our elementary students cheered as the new garage door raised and they got to experience the new playground for the first time. #PRAMinerMonday
Earlier this year Hunter Drake '18 watched with pride as the pace cars he designed drive around the Daytona 500 track. It was just one milestone in a year full of them, including marrying Lexie and completing his first year as a creative exterior designer at General Motors. Proceeds provide important support for our Miner high school athletic program including $2000 in scholarships to certain graduating student-athletes, purchasing sport-specific yard signs for our varsity players, paying for a team dinner for those who make it to post-season, and allowing coaches to request equipment that isn't in their budget.

The MS girls soccer team earned the No. 2 seed in their tournament and are in the semi-finals! The game will be Monday, May 15, at 4:30 pm at Stargate School. The Championship game will follow. The ES girls team is also in its championship game this Saturday.

The girls soccer is having a stellar season at all levels this spring! First up, the HS varsity girls team is in the playoffs, after finishing 12-3 on the season and earning a No. 4 seed in the state tournament. This is the highest seed in PRA soccer history. Our Miners finished in a three-way tie for the league title, which again is a first for the program. Our Miners host their first game against Arrupe Jesuit today (Thursday May 11) at 4 pm. It's a BLACK OUT game so come out and support your Miners!

In mid-April, North Metro Fire Department was invited to PRA to demo CPR practices for students in Dr. Flo's PE, Total Fitness and Health classes. Students learned a preview of CPR, first aid, and use of the AED to save lives.

The PRA high school track & field team competed in the 3A Metropolitan League Championship on April 29. PRA athletes scored points on 53 different occasions. When scores were totaled, the boys team was crowned league champions for the first time while the girls earned a hard fought third place team finish.
Several individual league champion titles were also won on both the boy and girls side. The individual league champions are:
