Congratulations to Isaac Felix '24 for having his photo selected for the Denver Month of Photography Teen Art Show! Isaac's photo was one of 63 images accepted into the juried exhibition out of more than 220 entries from across the state of Colorado. Shout out to our students, Big Tony (a junior), Nicholas, C.J. and Z-Mo (all freshmen), who pitched in to help after a schedule change occurred last Wednesday (Feb. 22). When seventh hour PE class was moved to the Commons, Tony helped the custodian finish cleaning after lunch so the space would be ready for the students. Then Nicholas, C.J, and Z-Mo offered to help by taking the trash bins to the dumpsters. Dr. Flo and the custodian were impressed by the kindness and spirit of community these students showed. "I'm proud to be their teacher," Dr. Flo said.

Congratulations to PRA's girls and boys basketball teams for qualifying for the 3A state tournament! The girls travel to Peyton HS on Friday, March 3, to play Peyton in the first round (regionals) at 3 pm. Winner advances to the Sweet 16 on Saturday, March 4, at 12 pm. The boys travel to Centauri HS on Friday, March 3, to play Banning Lewis Academy in the first round at 8 pm. Winner advances to the Sweet 16 on Saturday, March 4, at 1:30 pm. Both games can we watched on the NFHS network.

Last night Vidhura Kumar '23 was recognized as a Charter Champ and is representing PRA at the Colorado League of Charter Schools Conference this week. Vidhura is one of 30 high school students from across Colorado chosen to attend the conference and participate in the league's 2023 Advocacy Day. Students were nominated by school leaders and those chosen "both exemplify and promote the valuable role of charters in public education." The Charter Champs will have advocacy opportunities that include meeting with Colorado legislators, taking action for charter schools and participating in Advocacy Day.

Today is the day that our 2nd through 5th graders have been looking forward to all year! It is the soft opening of the new playground with the area fully opening next week. The Executive Team of Elementary Student Council—with the help of April Wilkin, executive director, and Mr. Andrew, our project foreman from Taylor Kors—filmed a training video, demonstrating proper use of the equipment.
