Enrollment Process Information
Acceptance into Prospect Ridge Academy is based on a random lottery, as the number of applicants typically exceeds the number of spaces available. Once admitted to PRA, students automatically continue through the K-12 program, including the transition points between the elementary and middle school levels as well as the middle and high school levels.
Lottery applications are accepted each year between Dec. 1 and Jan. 31 for the following school year. You may submit your child’s lottery information ANYTIME between Dec. 1 and Jan. 31. After Jan. 31, student information may be taken on a first-come, first-served basis and placed on a post-lottery waitlist.

The best way to find out about Prospect Ridge Academy is to visit our school. Attending an Open Enrollment Session is a wonderful opportunity to learn about our academic offerings, athletics, and our unique K12 community! Presentations include a school overview and question and answer session with administrators. This year we request that you RSVP to participate in the session. Please attend the relevant grade level session(s) on the date most convenient for you.
Prospective families will have limited time to make a decision (72 hours to accept, or 24 hours for offers after July 15th) once they receive an enrollment offer, so we highly encourage prospective families to attend an Open Enrollment Session.
Open Enrollment Sessions
Open Enrollment Sessions are offered in the fall of each year. These in-person events offer families an opportunity to hear about PRA, tour the campus, and talk with administrators. PRA is offering two Open Enrollment Session dates for the 2025-26 lottery (Tuesday, November 19 and Saturday, December 7, 2024).

High School Shadow Days
PRA offers three dates every December and January for prospective students to shadow current students. Participating in a shadowing opportunity allows prospective students the opportunity to attend two classes with a PRA student leader, while parents tour the school and participate in a Q&A session with the high school principal. Shadow dates are for prospective families only.

Tours (March through April)
Tours of our campus, including elementary, middle and high schools, are offered in March and April to families who have accepted offers to attend PRA in the coming school year.
