Welcome back to campus, Miners!! We hope everyone had a wonderful spring break! 🥰

The crowd is starting to roll in for tonight's Senior Leadership Capstone Symposium! There is still plenty of time to join us in the High School gym as the event runs from 6-8 p.m.
As part of graduation, PRA seniors work on a capstone project based on their passions and interests. The students collaborate with mentors, who work in their area of interest, to complete their capstone project before presenting their work during the Senior Capstone Symposium.

Last week, Art 2 students practiced life drawing! Students worked on gesture drawings in varying timeframes (30 seconds, 45 seconds, one minute, and five minutes) using charcoal.
The class was fortunate to have a fellow student, Jimbo, to volunteer as a model. He had this to share about the experience: "Standing in the middle of the room with everyone staring at you is harder than you think."
Thanks for your help, Jimbo, and great work, Miners!! #PRAHighSchool #PRAFineArts

The PRA Mock Trial team, coached by Dr. LeCarner and local attorney Claire Mcguire-Elster, just finished the 2024-25 season last weekend!
A total of 124 teams competed statewide in regional tournaments, and 24 advanced to the state championship competition in Pueblo. PRA's team of Amelie Chambers, Korinna Castelano, Hadley Peech, Alex Choi, Sidney Palmer, Emmett Ribordy, Addison Patrick-Elster, Snigdha Yerra, Delaney Fessler, and Evelyn Hellbusch took second at the regional tournament and finished 10th overall at state! It was the team's best-ever finish at the state tournament, with PRA winning three out of the four rounds.
Sophomore Emmett Ribordy took an individual award for 3rd place in direct examination of the witness category.
Congrats to the entire team!

Thank you to everyone who joined us this evening for Core Knowledge Night, our annual science and social studies open house!
We had some tremendous organizations and cultural performers on campus for a night of fun and hands-on learning 🥰

The National Junior Art Honor Society (NJAHS) received a record-setting 173 submissions from schools throughout the world for the 2025 NJAHS Juried Exhibition, with only 48 submissions being selected.
Of those 48 submissions, PRA had two Miners in Ella Bilbrey and Samantha Webb get selected for the virtual exhibit, which was posted on March 11 and is available to view online through August. Bilbrey’s submission is a clay sculpture of an angel covering its face. Ella displayed her technical sculpting skills and determination to finish the project, which took over two months of work.
Webb’s submission is a graphite and marker self-portrait, showing how her creativity and inspiration has changed over the years since being a young kid. Samantha displays exceptional technical skill in the shading and rendering of the drawing, and she enhanced the meaning of her piece by tearing and crinkling the top edge of the paper, creating a distressed emotion in the viewer.

PRA would like to congratulate 8th grader Reece Blair on her great run to the 85th Annual State Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 8!
After advancing her way through the PRA and district spelling bees, Blair was one of three Adams 12 district students to make it all the way to the state finals!
