PRA High School Vice Principal, Von Miller, was a guest speaker this week at the annual 5-Star Students National Conference in Las Vegas!

Mr. Miller presented twice during the conference, sharing his expertise and PRA's success implementing a house system (Peaks) how using the 5-Star Students platform has elevated that process #PRAMiners #k12onpurpose

For a quartet of PRA Middle School eighth graders — Lucy Bote, Keira Wulf, Kylah Samarel and Charlee White — they saw an opportunity to lead and create change in the spring of 2024.

Thanks to their initiative, they would be the driving force behind the new Middle School Dress Code, which came to fruition this past June when it was approved by the PRA Board of Directors.

After a tremendous K8 Back to School Night event this week, we're excited to welcome our high school guardians to campus next Wednesday for High School Back to School Night!

This event is from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3 and is for guardians only. After initially meeting in the HS Gymnasium, guardians will follow their student’s schedule, beginning with Period 1 and ending with PEAKS.

⛰️ Middle Mountain Assembly ⛰️

We were excited to debut our new Middle Mountains house system for PRA Middle School!

Our Miners found out this afternoon which mountain (Lookout, Meadow, Nimbus, Emerald, Sundance or Eagle Cliff) they will be joining! The purpose of the Middle Mountains house system, similar to PRA's Peaks system at the high school level, is to:

- Foster community and belonging
- Encourage positive behavior & character development
- Promote healthy competition and school spirit
- Support mentorship and leadership opportunities
- Unify the school culture

🎒🏫 K8 Back to School Night 🏫🎒

K8 Guardians, be sure to mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 26 for our K8 Back to School Night!

Elementary Back to School Night will offer two separate sessions (4:30-5:00 p.m. and 5:15-5:45 p.m.)

Middle School Back to School Night is scheduled for 6-8 p.m., beginning in your child's first period classroom.

As part of Back to School Night, all K8 families are also invited to a special presentation by our Executive Director April Wilkin, based on the book How to Raise an Adult by Julie Lythcott-Haims. Two sessions of this presentation will be available in the K8 Library beginning at 4:30 p.m. & 5:15 p.m.
