Middle School Miner Merge

8:15 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. (K-8 Gymnasium)
Miner Merge is for all Rising 6th Graders, and any students in 7th Grade and 8th Grade who are new to PRA and is designed to help students who are new to PRA, and new to Middle School, get comfortable with their new environment.
Students and/or parents are asked to enter through the K-8 Courtyard. Students do not need to bring anything with them to Miner Merge. The exterior courtyard door to the K-8 Gymnasium will open at 8:30 a.m. for students so that they may attend the Miner Merge from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Following the completion of orientation, students will be dismissed from the K-8 Gymnasium and exit through the High School Gymnasium, where they can take advantage of early, exclusive access to Check-In Fair resources, or be picked up in the High School parking lot.
Parent & Guardian Merge (Optional)
Session #1: (8:30-9:30 a.m.)- Complimentary coffee served
Session #2: (11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.)- Complimentary lemonade served
PRA also recognizes this next step for students can be a challenging unknown for parents, which is why we will now be offering two “Parent & Guardian Merge” sessions. These optional sessions are for those who would like to meet fellow PRA Middle School families and have the chance for small group discussions on how to better support your middle school student.
Miner Merge Pick Up (12:30 p.m.): in front of PRA High School
Miner Merge families are asked to drop off their Community Supplies at this time in the High School Commons area. Visit the PRA Middle School summer page to view the complete school supplies list. Donation bins for Community Supplies will be labeled and made available.
Early Access to Check-In Fair (Optional): 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Following the conclusion of the Miner Merge, students and their parents are encouraged to go to the High School Gymnasium to complete Check-In Fair tasks on the same day, instead of coming back the next day (August 12). These tasks include getting their picture taken for their mandatory school ID badge, drop off medication to the health office, pay any outstanding fees, receive a planner and locker assignment, pick up Chromebooks from IT, learn about PRA Athletics and more!

If families complete the tasks from early access to Check-In Fair on Monday afternoon, they are not required to come back to the K-12 Check-In Fair event on Tuesday, August 12.
High School Miner Merge

8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. (games on the grass field until 12:30 p.m.) HS Commons
This event is for all incoming 9th graders, as well as 10th, 11th and 12th graders who are new to PRA. This event gives new high schoolers an opportunity to meet fellow students and staff and become acquainted with the building.
Miner Merge attendees will visit the high school gym to have their photo IDs taken, pick up their class schedules, receive their locker assignments, and to drop off community supplies as one of the rotations during the event.
As part of Miner Merge, students will make Peak spirit wear. PRA will provide a T-shirt for each student, but you can help us have the right size for your student by filling out this form for your incoming high schooler. Students who don’t provide information will be given a medium-sized shirt.
Students will be led by their high school student ambassador to learn how to navigate the HS building at PRA.
Parents can pick up students between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
