This summer (July 28-August 1) rising seniors (Class of 2026) have the opportunity to participate in an intensive week-long college admissions bootcamp workshop with Dr. LeCarner.
In addition to teaching at PRA for the past seven years, Dr. LeCarner has been working in the field of college admissions as an independent educational consultant for a decade. He has worked with hundreds of students from the Denver/Boulder area, including many from PRA, helping them and their families navigate the complexities of the college admissions process. This is an opportunity to gain his unique insights into the process, and create a clear plan for your admissions journey.
The Bootcamp will focus on building a balanced list of schools to which to apply, (safe, target, and reach), completing the Common Application, developing a strategy for early admission options, creating strategies for writing, and organizing supplemental application essays, strategies for requesting letters of recommendation, standardized testing submission, and developing a clearer understanding of financial aid and scholarship options.
· The Bootcamp will take place at PRA in the high school library from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
· The fee for the Bootcamp is $500
· There is a cap of 20 students (A waitlist will form if needed, and a possible second Bootcamp will be added depending on demand)
