PRA is offering an opportunity for students in 3rd to 5th grade to join a before school math club, centered on mathematical fluency. The club will be based on the 24 Math Game, which was designed by inventor Robert SUn to create a new generation of critical thinkers. Students race to make the number 24 using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and/or division. You can learn how to play in this video.
The club will support the interest and ability level of all types of mathematicians, by differentiating game play. Ms. Hunt and Mrs. Marty will offer this club in the K8 Library. There are 32 slots available on a first come, first served basis. The deadline to sign up is Sunday, October 6. Please use a separate sign-up slot for each sibling.
Meetings for the 24 Math Club will take place Tuesday mornings each week from 7:35-8:10 a.m. from October 8 - November 5, 2024. The end of session tournament will take place after school on Wednesday, November 13th from 3:30 until 5:30. More details on this tournament to come.
