For 3rd and 4th graders, they are eligible to sign up for Miner Chorus. This 3rd-5th grade choir focuses on learning to sing two-part music. Students learn both parts of every song. Then in the concerts, they sing two songs on melody and two songs on the harmony part.
Miner Chorus meets once a week on Wednesday mornings from 7:35-8:05 am. We meet in the Module Building, room 3152. Miner Chorus will meet for the first time on September 4. They will sing in two concerts- Wednesday, December 11 at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m.
5th graders have 3 options to participate in elementary choir:
1) Miner Chorus: This 3rd-5th grade choir focuses on learning to sing two-part music. Students learn both parts of every song. Then in the concerts, they sing two songs on melody and two songs on the harmony part.

2) 5th grade choir: This choir pushes the students a little harder and introduces sight singing (a big component in middle school and high school choir). Students will pick a voice part (high or low) and will focus on just that part in the concerts.
The 5th grade choir meets once a week on Friday mornings from 7:35-8:05 a.m. in the Module Building room 3152. The 5th grade choir will meet for the first time on Friday, September 6. They will sing in two concerts- Wednesday, December 11 at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m.
3) Both choirs: Students who really love to sing can choose to do both! They will benefit from working on choir skills and music twice a week, while getting to perform double the music in the concerts.
