Ben Mulvaney wins Assistant Coach of the Year

Prospect Ridge Academy High School assistant track and field coach Ben Mulvaney was recognized by his peers last week, earning Assistant Coach of the Year honors across all sports, which was announced at the Metro League Hall of Fame banquet.

An eight-year veteran with the Miners cross country and track and field programs, Mulvaney is revered for his ability to build genuine, positive relationships with student-athletes on and off the competition surface.

With Mulvaney’s assistance, the Miners track and field programs sent four relay teams and a pair of individuals to the 2024 CHSAA Track and Field Championships this spring, with the boys 4X100 (7th) and girls 4X800 relay (8th) each earning podium finishes.

During the fall, Mulvaney also helped guide both the PRA girls and boys cross country teams to the Class 3A State Cross Country Championships.
