The Prospect Ridge Academy (PRA) Board of Directors has two members who have chosen to step down at the end of the school year in May. Because these are mid-term replacements, they could not be included in our normal election according to PRA’s Bylaws and will be replaced in a special election. Therefore, the PRA Board is seeking candidates to replace these board members. One for a one-year appointment to finish out the term set to expire in May 2025 and the other for a two-year appointment set to expire in May 2026. The Board is specifically seeking applicants with a financial background. Candidates\Board Members do not need to be the parent or guardian of a PRA student.
Submissions are due no later than 11:59 p.m. on May 1, 2024.
Board members are expected to chair at least one (sub)committee. A brief description of each (sub)committee may be found in the Subcommittee & Committee Overview document on the PRA Website under Board of Directors section. Please feel free to contact the current Board chair for additional information regarding a (sub)committee and its time commitment.
It is important to note that serving on the Board is a time commitment, and members are expected to be prepared and engaged throughout the year. The time required can vary, but a typical time commitment ranges from 5-25 hours per month during the school year.
