PRA freshman Eve Nordgren, who just completed her first high school swim season with Legacy High School, earned a varsity letter in swimming as well as an award for making four 5A state cuts. She qualified for the 5A state championships in the 200 IM, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, and 500 freestyle. She competed in prelims and finals and contributed to the Legacy women’s team placing seventh overall.
Eve also competed in the Colorado Short Course Age Group Swimming Championships over the weekend and qualified for finals all three days of the competition. She qualified in seven individual events as well as the 400 medley relay team and the 400 freestyle relay team, which placed 4th overall in Colorado. Eve placed 14th in Colorado for the 200 backstroke & 500 freestyle and placed 17th in the state for the 100 backstroke. In addition, Eve’s 200 backstroke time qualified her for the Western Zone Senior Championships.
