Dear Parents and Students,
We’re getting close to the time when your students will register for classes for the 2024-2025 school year.
On Thursday, Feb. 1, current 8th through 11th grade students will rotate through class description stations during Peaks and Access in the HS to prepare for their Course Registration for the 2024-2025 school year that begins on Feb. 28.
On Thursday, Feb. 29, during Access Class, middle school students will watch a presentation on the electives we will be offering next year. Following this presentation, teachers will instruct students on how to register for courses in Infinite Campus, otherwise known as “IC”. The registration window will be open through March 4. After Feb. 29, please go through this presentation again together with your student (on their Google Classroom pages) and discuss courses and the registration process so that you can help advise them on what courses they will select for the following year.
IC is only set up to accept student course requests during the specified window (from Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 8 a.m. to Monday, March 4, at 4 p.m.). Course requests must be entered through the student portal. The parent portal is not set up to accept course requests for students. Students will bring home Course Request Verification Forms on Friday, March 8, so they can review all recommendations and elective choices with their parents. These forms should be signed and returned by Monday, March 11.
Course Registration allows students to select which elective courses they would like to take during the next school year. This course request process does not guarantee placement into any particular course. The information obtained is used to determine the number of sections to offer for each course.
Note: Students not returning for the 2024-2025 school year will not register for courses during this time.
