Dear PRA Miners,
Whether your children are starting their educational journey or looking toward their future beyond Prospect Ridge Academy, we take pride in our K-12 environment where every student is known and valued. We're proud to be Miners, and your child's potential drives our dedication in supporting each of their unique educational paths.
Collaboration with your family is crucial for your student's success. Since 2010, our community has united annually in support of our school through the PRA Annual Give campaign. This essential, yearly campaign relies on support from all Miners: current families, dedicated staff, and loyal alumni. It is our primary means of financially supporting PRA and represents 50% of our net total fundraising, with the rest coming from special events and activities.
As a board, we want to help our community understand the unique funding gap that PRA experiences as a charter school that traditional district schools do not have. Prospect Ridge Academy spends approximately $2.2 million annually to service our campus facilities debt. Despite receiving the same per-pupil revenue as traditional public schools, this debt results in an annual funding gap of approximately $1,486 per student.
Closing this gap helps us achieve numerous goals, such as new instructional resources, enhanced K-12 activities, athletics, the arts, staff wellness and growth, and campus maintenance. To be successful we need every family to help. Please consider how your family can support PRA during the 2023-2024 school year by participating in the PRA Annual Fund.
We ask each family to contribute at a level that holds meaning and significance for you. Our goal is not a dollar amount, but 100% family participation. During the 2022-2023 school year, 29% of PRA families participated in PRA Annual Fund giving. PRA’s ultimate goal is to have 100% participation from all families miner pride in our school.

For donations by check, you can submit payment at either the K8 or high school front offices or mail it to the school. Monthly giving and employer matching gift programs are also encouraged.
