PRA is participating in our charter renewal with the Adams 12 school district, which occurs every five years. We look forward to welcoming the renewal team on campus next Thursday, Nov. 2!

Hey, Miner families. Just wanted to let you know about an exciting event we have coming up on campus next Thursday, November 2nd. We will have, give or take, 10 people on campus observing us all day as part of our charter renewal process. So as you know, we're part of the Adams 12 School District. They serve as our authorizer. And as a charter school, we go through renewal about every five years, and it's a pretty extensive process. It takes us the whole year to undergo. The first phase of that is the site visit next week. So, they'll come on campus. They'll get a tour and a presentation. They'll go into classrooms and see students learning and teachers teaching. They're going to conduct interviews of students, staff, families, board members, school leaders, and really kind of get a feel for and a picture of what we do here at PRA.
So, we're excited to have them on campus. We just wanted you to know what was going on. Additionally, as part of that process, we'll be submitting a packet of all the information about who we are and the data we have and our policies and procedures and everything that makes us tick. Huge kudos to our staff who are compiling all that information, and it's really a celebration of our students and what they've accomplished. And then in the spring, we go through contract negotiations. So, we renegotiate the terms and look at waivers and those kinds of things. So like I said, it's a year long process. We anticipate it going smoothly. It has every time in the past that we've gone through this. We have a great relationship with the district, with our authorizer, and we're really looking forward to welcoming them onto campus.
