Learning never stops, and neither do our digital lives. At PRA we learn about and demonstrate being good digital citizens all year long, but celebrate digital citizenship throughout the month of October. In Technology Class, the entire first quarter of school is spent on Digital Citizenship skills and knowledge.

As parents and caregivers, it can be incredibly overwhelming when our children increase their interest in online games and social media. It is difficult to know where to start. Common Sense Media has a fantastic parent portal that provides information and resources on various topics, from movies, TV, and book reviews to detailed guides for the games, sites, and apps that kids are all the rage for our Mini Miners. At the top of the website, click on “For Parents”

Check out the Parent Packet to help guide you in navigating your child through their digital communities. Topics include:

  • How do I keep my kid safe on the Internet?
  • Easy, Free Browser Hacks to Make the Internet Safer for Your Kid
