We are now in the annual student count window, which is the two weeks during which the state focuses on determing the number of students who attend Colorado public schools. Head counts obtained during the count window secure a school's per-pupil operating revenue for the coming year.
The student count window began on Sept. 25 and closes out on Oct. 9; Oct. 2 is the actual Count Day.
School attendance is always important, but has additional importance during the count window. We ask that parents/guardians help to ensure that students are present during this window when attendance is taken.
