Committees and Subcommittees are made up of PRA staff, administration, and parents, and are chaired by a PRA Board member. The Committees act under the authority of the PRA Board and provide talents, knowledge, and expertise for the benefit of PRA. “Committees” are specifically referenced in the PRA Charter and “Subcommittees” are created by the Board, as needed, and are not specifically referenced in the PRA Charter.
Parent participation on a Committee or Subcommittee is an excellent way to share ideas, meet other parents, work with the PRA Board/administration/staff, and most importantly, make PRA better. If you would like additional information or are interested in becoming a member of any of the Committees/Subcommittees, please contact the chair of that Committee/Subcommittee.
Board Nomination/Governance Committee - charged with making recommendations to the Board relating to the overall governance of PRA, including but not limited to nominations of future Board of Director members.

Facilities Committee – gathers information and makes recommendations to the Board relating to land, temporary facilities, and permanent facilities.

Finance Committee – monitors and reports upon the financial health of PRA.

Fundraising Committee – actively pursues funding for PRA through business partnerships, in-kind donations, check-writing campaigns, company matches, and various school fundraising activities.

Hiring Committee – recruits, interviews, and recommends candidates to fill openings for all staffed positions using hiring procedures and job descriptions approved by the leadership and PRA Board of Directors.

School Accountability Committee (SAC) – monitors achievement (academic and otherwise) of the mission, vision, and goals of PRA.

Athletics Subcommittee – charged with making recommendations to the Board and updating the Board at least quarterly relating to PRA’s athletic program(s).

Curriculum Subcommittee – continuously improves the educational program in accordance with PRA’s overall mission and vision, via research and review of recommendations for changes or additional curriculum resources, or changes in course offerings brought to the subcommittee by instructional staff.
