Hello fellow delegates! This is the official page of PRA Model United Nations, a club dedicated to the advancement of diplomacy and public speaking. Model United Nations (MUN) is the high school/university equivalent to the real-life United Nations, with both historical and current events, with the main goal of achieving a solution to a certain issue.

What is Model United Nations?

In MUN, students take on the role of various countries and debate over real-world issues in a format that reflects the actual United Nations. Our club attends around 3 conferences per semester, made up of students from high schools all around Colorado. At each conference, if you sign up, you will have a topic to debate and a country whose stance you will take in the debate. There is a little prep work of research and writing, but most of your time for the club will be at the conference, in debate. Once you have some experience, we also travel once a year, to either another city in the US, or another country to participate in a 3-5 day conference (and enjoy some sightseeing along the way!). Not only will you have a great time debating real-world topics, in Model UN, you will gain speaking and research skills, and an important club valued by colleges everywhere!
