Sarah and Joanne

Sarah Melssen & Joanne Bliss, Class of 2028 GLCs

Class of 2028 GLC

PRAClassof2028GLC@gmail.com

My name is Sarah Melssen and I am looking forward to getting back into the GLC role. I was previously GLC for the Class of 2023 and am excited to help out again with the Class of 2028! When we are not watching Avery play sports or visiting Taylor at KU, my husband, Matt, and I love spending time with family and friends. Go Miners!

My name is Joanne Bliss and I'll be one of your Class of 2028 GLCs. I have two students at PRA, my 8th grader and a 4th grader, and I've loved being a part of the PRA community for the elementary and middle school years.  I'm looking forward to working with our families and the high school team to help make the next four years amazing for our kiddos. Go Miners!

At right, you'll find ways to stay in touch with us and each other in the coming year.

This Month...

As we head into spring, keep an eye on the important dates listed at the top of the page. PRA College Day is on March 6. Students will meet with college representatives during PEAKS time and then all college reps will be available in the gym from 3:15-4pm. Parents and community members are welcome to attend during the college fair portion of the event.

As we move through the remainder of the school year, remind students to record their community service hours using the Community Service Form. Students are required to complete 100 hours of community service before graduation and it's much easier if they log them as they go!

Be sure to keep an eye on the list of important dates at the top of the page as a handy reference for upcoming events. The PRA High School Parent Community Facebook page is a great place to ask questions and connect with other parents. You may see some posts on the HS Parent Facebook page about After Prom, an event planned by the Junior year GLCs. While After Prom will be attended by mostly Juniors and Seniors, the success of the event depends on the whole HS Parent Community. Please consider contributing via a donated good or by volunteering at the event. It's a great opportunity to learn more about the event and it will be our kids' turn before you know it! You can always email us at PRAClassof2028GLC@gmail.com with any questions.

Don't forget to check the events calendar for the most up to date information
