NCAA Registration for College Sports

Are you interested in playing sports at college? You must be registered with the NCAA in order to play at a DIV I or II school.

If you are unsure about what division or whether you really want to play in college you can create a free "Profile Page" which can transition to a certification account later on. If you are sure you want to play DIV I or II you will need to create an NCAA certification account ($90).

You'll find all of the High School and K12 news and activities in Miner Mail and the Events calendar.

We promise to upload a picture soon!

A little about us....

Pat has been with PRA since the 1st day, some will remember our temporary building! She has a 2021 PRA graduate attending CSU in Ft. Collins and Alexander in 11th grade.

Johnna started PRA with the 2026 class in kindergarten. She has Owen in 11th grade, and students in middle and elementary.

This Month....

Three weeks of instruction left - not sure who is more excited, our students, our staff, or our parents! Enjoy your summer and keep in mind all things involving senior year. We've listed most those items below and will update as we get more dates and information.

Finals - This works the same every year. Please remember to email attendance if your student will not be attending a class, like study hall during Finals week.

College Prep continues– researching college requirements, visiting colleges, reviewing financial aid options, learning about Merit-based scholarships, and SAT and ACT testing.  PRA has all this handled for the Juniors and Seniors (even building these skills into the regular coursework) and it becomes a large part of their Peaks time.  Over the summer, focus on this:

  •   SAT exam was April 16th with results arriving mid-May

    • If your student is unhappy with their SAT score, summer is a good time to retake the SAT. SAT uses Super Scoring meaning that they will take the highest score of each section from each test taken. So if the math score was low, but Lit was good - focus on math and retake the test.

  • Also consider taking the ACT. Look at your possible college choices to see if they use the SAT or ACT test scores.

Summer Homework - Keep an eye out for this - it hasn't been released yet, but will be soon. Teachers will be reaching out directly to your student, so remind your student to check their email throughout summer. It should also be posted on our website when available.

Community Service Hours - 100 hours of Community Service to graduate is required, more if they are trying to graduate with honors.  Please remind your student that these hours need to be submitted, they will not magically appear before graduation (spoken from experience!)

Senior Pictures - these are due for the yearbook in October, so many people take these during the summer or early fall. Put this on your radar!

Capstone - The deadline for Summer mentorship has passed, but most students work on this during their first semester of senior year. Make sure your student is thinking about their topic over the summer and possibly finding a mentor. This has been discussed in Access, so they should have all the information needed to succeed.

********** Most Important! **********

If you are planning on helping with the last few events for Senior year - complete your Volunteer training now. The first event is Senior Sunrise on the first day of school. Your volunteer training needs to be completed before the staff leaves for summer break. It only takes 15 minutes - PRA Online Training Video.

Parent Volunteers

Parent Volunteers are always needed, please complete the Volunteer Training soon.  You cannot volunteer until this is complete and it can take a few days for the final clearance.
