Kindergartener Austin M. and 4th grader teacher Mrs. Jackson both showed they were Proud Miners by sharing some family history with Flat Doug the Miner over fall break. Austin took Flat Doug to Florida where they saw the plane that Austin's grandfather flew. Mrs. Jackson introduced Flat Doug to her hometown in Wyoming! One of Mrs. Jackson's ancestors was mayor of the town in the last 1880s. Three elementary students showed their Miner Pride locally and in surrounding states. Flat Doug accompanied Peyton M, 1st grade, to the ophthalmologist and to visit the Broncos training center. Addison B, 6th grade, and Collin B., 4th grade, showed Flat Doug around Salt Lake City and took him skiing.
