We start multiplication tomorrow! This video shows the steps of the partial products method of long multiplication.

okay today I'm going to talk about how to solve a multiplication problem using the partial products multiplication strategy we know means Parts product is the answer to a multiplication problem so basically this strategy takes us part by part here is our example problem 234 * 5 when we do partial products we always want to draw vertical lines to help us keep our columns sorry first step in solving 5 x 4 5 * 4 is 20  slap first make sense to my brain pretty basic next 3 x 5 3 it's 33 is in the so in order to solve that we think to ourselves what's 5 * 3 it's 15 so now to solve 5 * 30  we is going to do attack on 100 in the 30 and snow we have 150 and not answer goes below the 20 next were looking at five times too but it's not really too because she was in the hundreds column so it's five times 200 so again we think what's 5 * 210 5 * 200 is 10 with two extra zeros tacked on so 1000 is the answer in the 1000 goes down here  lastly going to add them all up 20 + 150 + 1000 equals 1170 and that is the answer to our problem
