This will be my 10th year teaching secondary science, and my 5th year at PRA. I studied Biology (with a minor in Chemistry) in college at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, then went on to get a Masters degree in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Following graduate school, I taught secondary science for five years (four in Colorado, and one in Monteverde, Costa Rica) before taking a break to raise my two sons, who are now in fifth and eighth grades at PRA. I returned to the classroom in 2017 at PRA, and feel so grateful to be able to teach with such a passionate and collaborative group of people! In my free time, I love trail running with my dogs, biking, playing bluegrass music with friends, and being outside with my family.
