I am very excited and grateful to be returning for my second year at PRA. Last year was one of the most rewarding years of my 16-year teaching career and being selected by the 2018 senior class as the first PRA commencement speaker was one of the greatest honors of my life. I am grateful to be able to continue to teach and learn from the fantastic seniors at PRA this year. Let's do this!
A little about me...
I earned my B.A. in English at the University of California, Irvine; my M.A. in English from Loyola Marymount University; my J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law; and my Ph.D. in English from CU Boulder.
Prior to my teaching career, I spent several years working as a corporate trial lawyer in Los Angeles, which led naturally to my specialization in the field of law and literature. My academic interests include 19th and 20th century American literature, Modernism, Transcendentalism, Buddhism and the West, Gothic fiction, and the broader relationship between literature and culture.
I am an avid cyclist, including mountain biking, gravel riding, and road biking. I am a coffee snob and a foodie—I love to cook (and eat); I am a movie fanatic, and I cherish being in the outdoors as much as possible.
