A Few BIG Updates

Hi Parents!

We are in the full swing of the second semester now and I have a few BIG Updates for you so please read carefully:
  • We will be doing a read aloud (optional shared reading) with the book The One and Only Ivan.  I have lessons that go with this and a fun day planned for when we are finished!  It's a great book and if your kiddo has read it before it's ok.  I like to give parents the option to purchase the book for their child to read along with me.  This is optional but a fun thing to do.  I only have 6 copies of the book and can't provide a full class set yet.  If you want to purchase the book, please have it at school with your child by Monday the 27th.  I will provide you a couple links if you are interested.
  • Prodigy- Please sign your kiddo up tonight if you haven't done so yet.  I have 18 signed up so far.   Here is the link and class code:
  • Homework & Planners- Please make sure planners are signed nightly and students are logging their reading minutes.  You no longer need to log math mins because Prodigy will show me that online. Readings is 120 mins when you can, math is 30 problems, and both are due on Mondays.
  • Thursday Folders-Students will be coming home this week with a Bone Quiz Study Guide, Independent Book Project Choices (see website tomorrow), and Weekly Review. Please look for these in Thursday Folders!
