Volunteers are an integral part of the Prospect Ridge Academy community. We appreciate your desire to work with us to bring additional resources to PRA.
Did you know that students whose parents are involved in their schools generally earn higher grades, score better on tests, adapt more easily to school, and graduate at a higher rate? What better reasons can there be to volunteer today?
We understand your time is precious and valuable - that's why we're happy with whatever amount of time you can contribute. Whether you have a lot of time or just a little, can work only from home or can be at the school for events, we deeply appreciate your contributions.
Volunteer Training Sessions
All PRA volunteers (K-12) must complete an online training and application process in order to volunteer in any capacity. The application process includes watching a volunteer video, completing an online quiz, filling out the Field Trip Chaperone Commitment Form, and completing the RAPTOR volunteer application (including a $5 background check run by entering your social security number). Once approved, your volunteer training will be good for one year. Detailed instructions can be found here.
You can begin the online volunteer process by clicking here.
It is highly recommended that you complete the training process at least a week before you plan on volunteering to ensure that your background check will have sufficient time to process. If you are not active in the system by the time of the volunteer event, even if you have completed all of the required steps (i.e. your application is still processing) you will not be allowed to volunteer for the event.
