The Prospect Ridge Academy Board of Directors is a group of committed community leaders who support our mission, vision, goals, and educational philosophy. Made up of parents, community, and business leaders, the board helps us maintain accountability to our students, families and the community by holding public meetings every month to review school progress and implement personnel, budgetary, administrative, and academic processes.
The Board meets on the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm in the High School Conference Room from August through June, and are open to the public. Steve Perruzza, Vice President
Athletics Committee Chair
Steve is the President/Owner of Equable Investment Corporation, a family owned business that provides private funding for Real Estate projects throughout the Midwest. Prior to that, he was a Vice President/General Manager at Advanced Forming Technology, a division of Precision Cast Parts Corporation. He attended J.K. Mullen High School and graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He and his wife Angela live in Westminster and their sons Caleb and Aaron both attend PRA.
Lena Lucas, Secretary
Board Nominations/Governance Chair
Lena is a former corporate and real estate attorney, but currently spends time volunteering at various non-profit organizations. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics with minors in French and English and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska. She and her husband David live in Broomfield in the Anthem neighborhood and have three children at PRA.

Brian Houle, Director
School Accountability Committee Chair
Brian is currently an IT Project Manager at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. The only federal laboratory dedicated to the research, development, commercialization, and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. Prior to that, he was a Business Systems Analyst at Brocade, a data and storage networking company. He graduated from American University in Washington, DC with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and International Studies. He lives in Broomfield in the Anthem neighborhood and has two children who attend PRA and a third who will attend in the future.
Susan January, Director
Fundraising Committee Chair
Susan January is the Vice President of Product Management at Leanin’ Tree, Inc., based in Boulder, Colorado, where she has worked since 1998. She has extensive experience in product and category management, talent acquisition, business intelligence and strategic planning, and she regularly travels and speaks at national industry-related conferences and tradeshows. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Liberty University in English, with minors in Greek and Psychology. Susan and her husband Terry are Annapolis, Maryland natives who now reside in Broomfield. They have a son who is a local police officer and twin daughters who are proud graduates from PRA's first ever Senior Class in May 2018.

Outreach Subcommittee Chair
Heather is the founding Principal of Bloom Studio architecture and design. Since founding Bloom Studio in 2007, she has focused her firm specifically on medical architecture and helps doctors, dentists, and veterinarians to success through award-winning facilities. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Design from Arizona State University. Heather has two daughters who attend PRA. Go Miners!
